Dieses Training- und Nachschlagewerk behandelt die Grundlagen des Programmpakets Solid Edge 2019 und dient als Einstieg in die virtuelle 3D-Konstruktionswelt für Getriebe-Baugruppen. In fünf ausführlichen Buchkapiteln und neun Supportkapitel, mit mehr als 600 Seiten, auf der Buch-DVD, werden das Zusammenspiel von Bauteilen, Baugruppen, Zeichnungsableitungen und mechanische Bewegungen mit den vielfältigen Konstruktionsmöglichkeiten der Software in Bezug auf Getriebe-Baugruppen behandelt. In den Supportkapiteln 7 bis 15, auf der Buch-DVD, befinden sich noch weitere komplette Getriebe-Baugruppen, die den Buchrahmen sprengen würde, außerdem gibt es im Kapitel 14 ein Ausflug in die Welt des 3D-Drucks mit Solid Edge 2019. Durch den klar strukturierten, visuellen Aufbau und mittels zahlreicher Tipps und Hinweise stellt sich der Lernerfolg sehr rasch ein, so dass ein methodisches Arbeiten mit Solid Edge innerhalb weniger Stunden möglich ist. Das Buch ist so aufgebaut, das auch mit älteren Solid Edge-Versionen, hier ins besonders Solid Edge ST6 bis ST10,- mit Einschränkungen-, die Lerninhalte dieses Buches abzuarbeiten sind.
