Es unterliegt wohl keinem Zweifel, daB fUr die Berechnung von Rahmentrag werken gegenwartig neben dem "Drehwinkelverfahren" die CRoss-Methode in der Praxis die weiteste Verbreitung gefunden hat. Eine Fiille von Aufsatzen und Ab handlungen in verschiedenen Fachzeitschriften des In- und Auslandes und auch viele Spezialbiicher der Baustatik befassen sich mit diesem Berechnungsverfahren. Dennoch fehlte es aber bisher an einem umfassenden Werk, das neben griindlichen Darlegungen der maBgebenden statischen Zusammenhange und der Besonderheiten dieser Methode auch alle fiir eine rationelle praktische Anwendung erforderlichen Hilfsmittel in Form von bequem benutzbaren, systematisch angelegten Zahlen und Kurventafeln aufweist und gleichzeitig eine moglichst groBe Anzahl sorgfaltig ausgewahlter und vollstandig durchgerechneter Musterbeispiele der verschiedensten Tragwerksarten enthalt. Diese berechtigten Wiinsche der an der CRoss-Methode und den verwandten Momentenverteilungsverfahren besonders interessierten Fach kreise soll nun das vorliegende Buch erfUllen. Fiir den Gesamtaufbau und die Gliederung des neuen Werkes waren die gleichen Prinzipien maBgebend, die sich bereits bei dem bisher in fUnf Auflagen erschienenen Buch "Rahmentragwerke und Durchlauftrager"l bestens bewahrt haben. Die enge Verwandtschaft des darin erschopfend behandelten Drehwinkelverfahrens mit den sog. Momentenverteilungsverfahren und damit vor allem mit der CRoss-Methode, gestattet die unmittelbare·Verwendung fast des gesamten Tafelmaterials aus dem Buch "Rahmentragwerke". Es konnten daher die meisten Zahlen- und Kurventafeln von dort auch in das neue Buch vollig unverandert iibernommen werden.
