The book: “Lectures on Digital & Discrete-Time Control Engineering (with Worked Examples)” is meant to explain the rudiments of control engineering to post-graduate students; Masters and Doctorate. It is written from experience obtained from teaching digital/discrete-time control systems in the university to post-graduate systems for several years. In order to carry students along, worked examples are presented at the end of most chapters. In some chapters, as the need arises, the examples are given right in the main discussions of the subject. This is to enable students understand the subject of discussion immediately, rather than being held in suspense until the end of the chapter. Though the primary target of the book is university post-graduate students studying for Master’s or Doctorate degrees in systems/control Engineering, higher undergraduate students taking control Engineering and Research institutes/centers will equally find the book a valuable source of information. It would also be useful to Instrumentation, Systems and Control Engineering practitioners in industry, mostly system Integrator.
