Spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.) is one of the healthiest vegetables in the world, due to it’s high nutrient profile. Spinach is good source of vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals. One of the major challenges in front of agriculture is to produce high yield of nutrient rich green vegetables like spinach. It can be solved by unique and ideal nutrient management. The excess use of chemical fertilizer worsens soil physical properties and declines the fertility status so it’s limited dose is advocated. The book therefore provides detailed information about growing nutrient rich spinach and other green leafy vegetables with minimum expenditure. It can be done by applying mainly organic manures prepared from weeds, agricultural waste, vegetable waste etc. It is based on several field experiments carried on spinach for increase in yield and nutritional quality. This book not only will be really helpful for researchers but also to common people like farmers, gardeners, house wives, students etc. It in fact recommends that organic waste can be converted into valuable nutrient source i.e. waste to wealth.
