Der erste Teil ist ein kurzer historischer Abriss über die kulturelle Etablierung und Entwicklung der Kolonie Deutsch-Südwestafrika. Im zweiten Teil wird auf kulturologische und sprachwissenschaftliche Aspekte eingegangen. Der Schwerpunkt liegt hier auf anthropozentrischen Erscheinungen sowie auf den Bereichen Identität und Ethnizität sowohl während der Kolonialzeit als auch im heutigen Namibia. Der dritte Teil beinhaltet ausgewählte Aspekte und sprachliche Beispiele, anhand denen Besonderheiten der deutschen Sprache in Namibia aufgezeigt, analysiert und mit dem Deutschen in Deutschland verglichen werden.
