Das vorliegende Buch ist hauptsachlich als Anleitung zum Bedienen elektrischer Maschinen und kleiner Anlagen gedacht und fiir Maschinisten, Monteure und Besitzer elektrischer Anlagen ge schrieben, mit der Absicht, die Behandlung und Schaltung von elektrischen Maschinen und die Bedienung der Apparate in kleineren Anlagen zu erklaren. Es ist deshalb besonderes Gewicht auf die Erklarung der Wirkungsweise von Stromerzeugern und Motoren, sowie auf ihre praktische Behandlung im normalen Betrieb gelegt. Das Buch zerfallt in zwei Teile: Zuerst ist die Wirkungs weise und Behandlung der elektrischen Maschinen und Akkumulatoren allgemein erlautert, so dafi dieser Teil gewissermafien die Begriindung fiir den zweiten Teil ist, in welchem die beim Ingangsetzen und Ab steIlen, sowie im Betrieb vorkommenden Handgriffe und Schaltungen fur besonders aU8gewahlte FaIle von Schaltungen und Anlagen, kurz in der vorzunehmenden Reihenfolge angegeben sind. Die in diesem zweiten Teil zusammengestellten Beispiele sind natiirlich nur eine beschrankte Auswahl der moglichen FaIle, weil einmal unmoglich aIle vorkommenden Schaltungen berucksichtigt werden konnen und weil nach Ansicht des Verfassers die gegebenen Schaltungen ge niigen, urn den Leser zu befahigen, in anderen, ahnlichen Fallen sich selbst die Bedienungsvorschriften fur die Anlage aufzustellen.
