Zusatzlich sind eine Vielzahl rontgentechnischer Artefakte zu berucksichtigen. Dieses fUr Zahnarzte, Kieferchirurgen, Hals-Nasen-Ohren-Arzte und . Radiologen als bildreiches Manual zum schnellen Nachschlagen wahrend der taglichen Arbeit konzipierte Buch bemiiht sich um eine leicht lesbare, iibersichtliche und das wesentliche betonende Darstellung des oft komplexen klinisch-radiologischen Sachverhaltes in Form einer Stufendiagnostik. Der erfolgreiche Einsatz der aufwendigeren Methoden wie Computertomographie und Kemspintomographie sollte jedoch nicht dazu fUhren, daB die einfach durchfiihrbare und z. T. auch kostengiinstigere konventionelle Rontgendiagnostik mit Einzelzahnaufnahmen, Orthopantomographie und Schadelspezialeinstellungen in den Hintergrund tritt oder durch mangelnde Ubung in der oft schwierigen Bildinterpretation an Wert verliert; sie ist durch neue Verfahren weder verdrangt noch ersetzt worden.
