Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2008 im Fachbereich Orientalistik / Sinologie - Arabistik, Note: 1,3, Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit widmet sich dem syrischen Dichter Nizār Qabbānī. Sie versucht zu erklären, in wieweit der Dichter seine Gesellschaft repräsentiert, was von ihm als eine Kollektivstimme erwartet wird, welche Funktion er zu erfüllen hat und wie seine Botschaft demgemäß empfangen wird. Im zweiten Kapitel der Arbeit wird die lyrische Entwicklung des Dichters dargestellt. Der Dichter wird einer Epoche zugeordnet, in der die arabische Gesellschaft eine rasche, entscheidende Entwicklung erfuhr. Da Qabbānī selbst seine lyrische Entwicklung in zwei Phasen unterteilt , werden die Kapitel IV und V dieser Unterteilung folge leisten. Ist die Reaktion eines Publikums auf ein Werk ein Kriterium „für die Bestimmung seines ästhetischen Wertes" , so ist Qabbānī in der Tat als der Repräsentant seiner Gesellschaft bzw. seines Publikums zu sehen. Die Rezeption seines Werkes zeigt, wie die Gedanken Qabbānīs ihren Widerhall bei dem Publikum gefunden haben, eben weil er diese Gedanken in einer einfachen Sprache übermittelt hat, einer Sprache, „die klassisch und eingängig zugleich war, mit natürlichem Tonfall, einfachen Bildern und blumigen, doch unverblümten Worten."
