Dieser Arbeit zugrunde liegt der Bedarf nach innovativer Produktentwicklung des touristischen Betriebes Golfpark Strelasund in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Ziel der Arbeit ist es, zu zeigen, weshalb es sich lohnen könnte, Golf und Wellness zu kombinieren, wie eine Produktkombination gestaltet werden kann und welche unternehmerischen Schritte notwendig sind, um erfolgreich neue Produkte auf den Markt zu bringen. Zu diesem Zweck werden die Entwicklung der einzelnen Märkte analysiert, das Verhalten potenzieller Kunden detailliert dargestellt und zukünftige gesellschaftliche Entwicklungen hinzugezogen, um in der Lage zu sein, ein innovatives Produkt gestalten und einführen zu können. Wellness ist beliebt, wird überall auf der Welt angeboten, hilft gegen Alltagsstress, fördert das Wohlbefinden - die Liste ließe sich fortsetzen. Problematisch ist nur, dass einerseits die momentanen Wellnessangebote wenig oder gar nicht auf gesundheitliche Aspekte eingehen, andererseits, dass dieser Wellnessmarkt gesättigt ist. Die Fragen, die aufkommen sind: WIE kann das bestehende Wellnessprodukt weiterentwickelt werden, so dass es den speziellen Bedürfnissen zukünftiger Kunden nach Erlebnissen und Gesundheit gerecht wird? WIE lässt sich ein stärkerer Fokus auf Gesundheit schaffen? WIE kann ein zukunftsträchtiges touristisches Produkt aussehen? Diesen und weiteren Fragen aus dem Bereich Entwicklung des Wellnesstourismus geht die vorliegende Arbeit nach, mit Hilfe eines sich in der Entwicklung befindenden touristischen Unternehmens aus Mecklenburg-Vorpommern - dem Golfpark Strelasund.
