Bu çalışma, yazarın doktora tezinden üretilmiş olup, meslek yüksekokullarında uygulanan muhasebe öğretim programına yöneliktir. Muhasebe öğretimi ile ilgili olarak bir durum tespiti yapmak ve muhasebe programını öğrenciler ve öğretim elemanlarının tutum ve görüşleri bağlamında değerlendirmek amacı ile planlanmış, yürütülmüş ve sonuçlandırılmıştır. Genel anlamda muhasebe programı değerlendirilirken mevcut durum ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu noktadan hareketle bireylerin ve toplumun muhasebe eğitiminden beklentilerinin ne olduğu üzerinde durulmuş ve muhasebe eğitiminde karşılaşılan sorunlar öncelikle ele alınarak bu sorunlara ilişkin çözüm önerileri getirilmeye çalışılmıştır.
