El carácter disruptivo del fenómeno del desplazamiento forzado, provocado por las acciones de los actores del conflicto armado interno prevaleciente en Colombia para las víctimas implica la pérdida de familiares, patrimonio y medios de subsistencia y el choque cultural que produce el desarraigo, y que además, golpea de modo desproporcionado a la mujer. Este trabajo, de carácter cualitativo exploratorio, se ha propuesto desvelar los aspectos lingüísticos de la (re)construcción narrativa de las identidades de las mujeres desplazadas a raíz del conflicto interno armado en Colombia que consistió en el análisis de las narrativas de entrevistas semi-estructuradas realizadas a 17 mujeres desplazadas. El problema de la identidad se resuelve cuando construimos narraciones que dan sentido a la falta de coherencia de nuestras identidades y al caos que es la vida. Como sostiene Gergen (1994) el self se convierte en la persona que nuestras narraciones y nuestra vida requieren: héroes o víctimas. Este libro pretende reconocer la fortaleza de las admirables mujeres víctimas del desplazamiento en Colombia que generosa y significativamente compartieron sus historias de superación y sus vidas.
