Hence, the importance of a coherent integration of US¿s national security strategy. This involves a three step approach based on renewed strategic thought, the purposeful adaptation leading to a holistic-agency approach, and a people-centric perspective enhancing the education of the national security practitioners. About the Author Master of Military Operational Art and Science (Air University, USA), Master of Peace and War Studies (UAL, Lisbon), is a Portuguese Air Force officer currently serving as faculty member in the Portuguese War College. As an instructor pilot he has more than 3000 hours of flying time in different types of aircraft.
