Não se trata de analisar a propaganda nacional-socialista ou de reflectir sobre as suas estratégias discursivas e retóricas, mas sim de procurar compreender o que fica aquém e além do seu discurso: como se caracterizam os contextos locais em que esta retórica se inscreve? Quais as modalidades que essa angústia da influência alemã conheceu ou adoptou? Quais as suas realizações efectivas, em termos culturais e científicos? About the Author Fernando Clara é docente da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. As suas áreas de investigação compreendem os Estudos Culturais, os Estudos Alemães e as Relações Luso-Alemãs. Cláudia Ninhos é investigadora do Instituto de História Contemporânea da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Publicou recentemente, com Irene Pimentel, Salazar, Portugal e o Holocausto.
