Die Moralischen Wochenschriften oder Spectators sind eine aus der protestantischen Ethik des frühen 18. Jahrhunderts stammende Gattung, die sich in den katholischen Ländern tendenziell mit einer Verzögerung von einem halben Jahrhundert etablierte. In Spanien dominierten zwei Wochenschriften, die jeweils eine ganze Dekade prägten: El Pensador (1760er Jahre) und El Censor (1780er Jahre). Diese Studie beschreibt die im zeitlichen Umfeld des Censor entstandenen kleineren Wochenschriften wie etwa El Curioso Entretenido, El Apologista Universal, El Duende de Madrid sowie El Argonauta Español und untersucht ihre formalen und thematischen Charakteristika. About the Author Klaus-Dieter Ertler ist Professor für Romanische Literaturwissenschaft an der Universität Graz sowie Autor und Herausgeber zahlreicher Publikationen zur spanischen Aufklärungsliteratur. Elisabeth Hobisch ist Mitarbeiterin am Forschungsprojekt «Die Spectators in der Romania: Spanien» an der Universität Graz. Andrea Maria Humpl ist promovierte Romanistin und unterrichtet an der HIB Liebenau in Graz.
