Die Studie setzt sich mit der oftmals als metaphorisch bezeichneten Verbindung zwischen Raum und Zeit auseinander. Nach der Klassifizierung unterschiedlicher Metapherarten rückt die Autorin die Frage nach der Existenz von Raum-Zeit-Metaphern in den Fokus der Untersuchung. Die Arbeit beinhaltet eine Darstellung von sprachlichen Elementen des Raumes und von Mitteln zum Ausdruck der Temporalität. Es wird ein Überblick über den aktuellen Gebrauch ausgewählter raumzeitlicher Präpositionen und Adjektive im Französischen und Spanischen und ein Einblick in deren diachrone Entwicklung gegeben. Die Autorin verknüpft korpusbasierte, linguistische Analysen mit kognitionslinguistischen und philosophischen Erkenntnissen über das Raum- und Zeitkonzept. About the Author Kathleen Plötner studierte Französisch und Spanisch an der Universität Salzburg und der Universität Potsdam. Nach dem Zusatzstudium Deutsch als Fremdsprache promovierte sie in Romanistik und ist derzeit als Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Lehrstuhl für Linguistik und angewandte Sprachwissenschaft am Institut der Romanistik der Universität Potsdam tätig.
