Typologische und areallinguistische Aspekte des Rumänischen werden beleuchtet, und in imagologischen Darstellungen wird das Rumänienbild in Vergangenheit und Gegenwart untersucht. Literaturwissenschaftliche Beiträge widmen sich der Ceauşescu-Verherrlichung aber auch der Berliner Zeit von Rumäniens Nationaldichter Eminescu oder der Darstellung des rumänischen Antisemitismus in Malapartes Roman Kaputt.
