Besonders kennzeichnend für den Konstruktiven Ingenieurbau ist eine stark arbeitsteilige Entwicklung von Bauwerks-Unikaten mit hoher Änderungshäufigkeit bei der Projektierung, der Erstellung, der Nutzung und der Ertüchtigung bzw. Revitalisierung. Die hohe Komplexität der dabei von den beteiligten Fachplanern durchgeführten Ingenieuraufgaben kann im internationalen Wettbewerb auf Dauer nur dann unter Erfüllung hoher Qualitätsanforderungen bewältigt werden, wenn die kooperative Projektbearbeitung in Computernetzen effizient durchgeführt werden kann. Dies bedingt die Erforschung von Methoden und Modellen, welche die Prozesse der Ingenieurplanung computergerecht abbilden und die bauspezifische Kooperation unterstützen. Diese Forschungen wurden in den Jahren 2000-2006 im von der DFG geförderten Forschungsschwerpunktprogramm "Vernetzt-kooperative Planungsprozesse im Konstruktiven Ingenieurbau" mit 15 beteiligten Projekten durchgeführt. Das vorliegende Buch fasst erstens die aktuellen Forschungsergebnisse und -erkenntnisse zur vernetzten Ingenieurkooperation im Bauwesen zusammen, gibt zweitens Hinweise für baupraktische Umsetzungen und zeigt drittens zukünftige Entwicklungen auf. Das Buch ist an Interessierte aus Forschung, Lehre und Praxis in kooperationsintensiven Ingenieurdisziplinen, insbesondere mit dem Schwerpunkt Konstruktiver Ingenieurbau, gerichtet. Die Struktur des Buches und das detaillierte Sachverzeichnis machen es zu einem Referenzwerk, das auch als Nachschlagewerk verwendet werden kann.
