Alle in diesem Bereich Tätigen haben die ständige Aufgabe, die Forschung am Menschen auf ihre rechtliche und ethische Vertretbarkeit hin zu überprüfen. Wieviel schwieriger diese Aufgabe heute geworden ist, zeigt sich bereits an der Entwicklung der geltenden Rechtsgrundlagen. Der Einfluß der europäischen Einigung etwa im Bereich der Forschung an Arzneimitteln oder bei der Entwicklung von Medizinprodukten macht dies unübersehbar deutlich. Die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Medizinrecht hat sich zu Aufgabe gestellt, anläßlich eines Symposiums aufzuzeigen, in welche Richtung die Entwicklung in den nächsten Jahren gehen wird.
