(Honore de Balzac, Histoire de la grandeur et de la decadence de Cesar Birroteau, 1837) Seitdem sich die tiefenpsychologische Betrachtungsweise der Psychoanalyse nach dem Jahre 1920 einer allgemeinen wissenschaftlichen Akzeptanz erfreuen durfte, wurde die Psychoanalyse auch die Wegbereiterin der Psychosomatik. Die psycho analytisch-psychosomatische Betrachtungsweise stellte dabei die Frage - ausge hend von der Lehre von der hysterischen Konversionsneurose -, ob unbewußte Determinanten für die Auslösung einer somatischen Erkrankung mitbestimmend sind. Im Verlauf der Entwicklung der Psychosomatik als einer eigenständigen Wissen schaft wurde der Aspekt des unbewußten triebdynamischen, quasi neurotischen Konflikts immer mehr aufgegeben zugunsten der Ansicht, daß die psychosomati sche Krankheitsentstehung mit der Basis der Persönlichkeitsentwicklung während des 1. Lebensjahrs zu tun hat. Daraus folgernd befaßt sich die tiefenpsycholo gisch-psychoanalytische Psychosomatik heute mit den Mfekten im Rahmen einer interpersonellen Interaktion sowie mit der Entstehung des Ich und des Selbst und deren Beeinflussung durch biologische und psychosoziale Bedingungen. Die vorliegende Arbeit handelt von der Mfektdynamik und der interpersonel len, interaktionellen Entwicklung des Ich und des Selbst im Rahmen der frühen Kindheitsentwicklung auf der Grundlage einer psychosomatischen Betrachtungs weise. Dabei ließ sich nicht vermeiden, daß sich manche Darstellungen ansatzweise wie derholen. Aber der Verfasser ging davon aus, daß es dem mit der psychosomati schen Literatur weniger vertrauten Leser nicht leicht fallen würde, sich einen per sönlichen Zugang zu diesem Themenkreis zu verschaffen.
