Bei der ersten INTERKAMA im Jahre 1957 lag das Hauptinteresse der MeB-, Regelungs- und Automatisierungstechnik darin, die korperliche Arbeit des Menschen zu erleichtern und effektiver zu gestalten. Die sttirmische Entwicklung der letzten Jahre auf dem Gebiete der Digitaltechnik wirkt sich zunehmend auch dahingehend aus, daB die Intelligenz des Menschen untersttitzt und entlastet wird. Auch die Gesichtspunkte einer verbesserten Produktqualitat und einer yom Gesetzgeber geforderten schadstoffarmen Produktionssteuerung stellen Anforderungen an Fertigungs- und Produktionsprozesse, die sich wohl nur unter verwendung moderner MeB- und Regelungstechnik, die sich auf die Mikroelektronik absttitzt, losen lassen. Diese Strukturanderungen haben in den letzten Jahren eine evolutionare Entwicklung insbesondere auf den durch die IN'I'E!. RKAMA reprasentierten Gebieten der MeB-, Regelungs- und Au:tomatisierun-gstechnik herbeigeftihrt. Das Anliegen des internationalen Kongresses ist es, durch Aufzeigen neuerer Ergebnisse und zuktinftiger-_Entwicklungen besonders den in der Praxis tatigen Entwicklern und Anwen~ern Anr~gungen zu geben. Neben modernen Gerateentwicklungen wird auch auf fortgeschrittene MeB- und Automatisierungsverfahren eingegangen. Dabei ist es zwingend, den rasanten Fortschritt bei hochintegrierten Halbleiterbausteinen zu be rticksichtigen, der zur Entwicklung von Mikrorechnern ftihrte, die eine rasch wachsende Zahl von Funktionen zu realisieren gestatten, ohne daB deren Kosten heute ins Gewicht fallen. Damit laBt sich in der Zukunft in immer groBerem MaBe eine dezentrale ProzeBftihrung kostengtinstig realisieren, die neben einer besseren Uberschaubarkeit und Betriebs sicherheit auch den Einsatz von "intelligenteren", wie z. B. optimalen, adaptiven und anderen Regelstrategien auch bei weniger kostenintensiven Anlagen gestattet. IV Ein verstarktes Problem stellt dabei das starke Anwachsen der unter schiedlichen angebotenen und verwendeten Bus-System dar.
