Product Description In dieser Arbeit werden Lebensverläufe und soziales Handeln von Sozialhilfeempfängern qualitativ analysiert. Es wird eine differenzierte Typologie entwickelt, die zeigt, daß Armutskarrieren nicht zwangsläufig in einen "Teufelskreis" führen. Die Lebensverläufe von Armen folgen vielmehr verschiedenen Mustern. Neben vielfältigen Wegen in die Sozialhilfe gibt es auch verschiedenste Wege aus ihr heraus.Die Armen sind auch nicht durchweg passive Opfer der sozialen Verhältnisse, sondern gehen sehr unterschiedlich mit sozialen Problemen um. Manche Hilfeempfänger erleiden eine soziale Notlage, andere bewältigen sie aktiv, viele überwinden sie endgültig.
