Die empirische Basis bilden fast 7.000 Texte, die zwischen 1980 und 1995 zu den Themen Erwerbstätigkeit, politische Gleichberechtigung sowie Feminismus in den vier Medien dpa, taz, Die Zeit und Der Spiegel erschienen sind. Auf der Grundlage politik- und sprachtheoretischer Ausführungen analysiert die Autorin im qualitativen Teil die sprachlichen Muster, wie z. B. Schlagworte und Metaphern, sowie die Bauprinzipien solcher Texte, in denen die politischen Leistungen von Frauen subtil abgewertet werden, ohne daß es zu einer rationalen Auseinandersetzung mit frauenpolitischen Forderungen kommt. About the Author Die Autorin lebt als freie Medienwissenschaftlerin und Journalistin in Hamburg.
