"Kultur" und "Struktur" stehen in diesem Band als Chiffre fur zwei grundlegende Stromungen der jungeren Organisationslehre. "Kultur" steht fUr Konzepte und Phanomene wie - "Evolution". "Geschichte". ,yerhalten", ,;Nerte", "Deskription", "Empirie" u. a. m. Es sind das zumeist nur qualitativ erfaBbare (nominal, allenfalls ordinal meBbare) und darum schlecht operationalisierte "weiche" Begriffe und Tatbe stande. "Struktur" steht fur Konzepte und Phanomene wie - "Konstruktion", "Planung", "Rationalitat", "Formalitat", "Praskription", "Normativitat" u. a. m. Es sind das haufiger und zumindest teilweise auch quan tifizierbare (deshalb kardinal meBbare) und besser operationalisierte "harte" Be griffe und Tatbestande. Beide Komplexe sind als Aspekte des Ganzen sozialer Wirklichkeit vielfach aufeinan der bezogen und stehen zusarnmen in einem Strom umfassender Koevolution. Der groBe Bogen, der sich urn beide Komplexe schlagt, markiert zugleich die Spann weite der Arbeiten Knut Bleichers. Das Lebenswerk des Jubilars ist den beiden hier gewahlten Schlusseltermini so vielfaItig verbunden, daB sie zugleich auch zur Kenn zeichnung seiner Lebensarbeit dienen konnen. Steht der Anfang seines Werkes im Zeichen der betrieblichen "Struktur" , so hat er sich in den letzten Jahren zunehmend der betrieblichen "Kultur" zugewandt. Das Buch umfaBt in sieben Abschnitten insgesamt 23 Beitrage. AIle Aufsatze fUgen sich dem anskizzierten Rahmenthema der Festschrift und nehmen mehrfach - expli zite oder implizite - auf das Werk des Jubilars Bezug. Jeder Beitrag ist ein GruB zum 60. Geburtstag des Organisationswissenschaftslers und Universitatslehrers Knut Bleicher.
