Problem Solving Techniques & Decision Making: using WinQSB Software

This book is considered as a Training Material for Students or Trainees in Operations Research. The primary emphasis will be on Linear Programming and its Variants and Applications.Other areas such as Network Models, Dynamic Programming,and Decision Analysis will also be covered.Analytic Techniques and Computer Package(WinQSB)will be used to solve problems facing Organizational Managers in decision environments.Section 1 introduces a very short description of Operations Research(Quantitative Techniques,or Decision Modeling).It also introduces the classification of many real-world problems that are candidates for the solution by the Methods of Operations Research(Quantitative Techniques,or Decision Modeling).Section 2 concentrates on the LP Modeling with the real-world application specially in Production Planning, Blending,Scheduling,Transportation.. About the Author Professor of Operations Research & Computer Science, received his PHD from Bratislava School of Economics,Faculty of Management, Czechoslovakia (1978), he has many researches and publications in the field of computer science, operations Research, and information systems.
