"وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِنْ شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ وَلَئِنْ كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِي لَشَدِيدٌ" صدق الله العظيم. إذا تحلى المسلم بصفة الشكر لربه على نعمه فذلك سيضمن له سعة في الرزق والنعم من كل جانب، فالمسلم هو الذي يقَدِّر المعروف، ويشكر الله سبحانه وتعالى على نعمه كلها، ويشكر الناس على ما يقدمونه له من خير،أما الذين لا يشكرون الله وعباده فإن هؤلاء هم الجاحدون الذين ينكرون المعروف، وقد ذمهم القرآن الكريم ، في قوله تعالى: "قَالَ الَّذِي عِندَهُ عِلْمٌ مِّنَ الْكِتَابِ أَنَا آتِيكَ بِهِ قَبْلَ أَن يَرْتَدَّ إِلَيْكَ طَرْفُكَ فَلَمَّا رَآهُ مُسْتَقِرًّا عِندَهُ قَالَ هَذَا مِن فَضْلِ رَبِّي لِيَبْلُوَنِي أَأَشْكُرُ أَمْ أَكْفُرُ وَمَن شَكَرَ فَإِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهِ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ رَبِّي غَنِيٌّ كَرِيمٌ". هنا مجموعة من الكلمات وأبيات الشعر التي يشكر أصحابها ويقرون بفضل الله عليهم: الـحمد لله أقصى مَبلَغِ الـحَمدِ ... والشُكرُ لله مِن قَبـلٍ ومِن بَعــدِ الـحمد لله عن سَـمعٍ وعن بَصَـرٍ ... الـحَمدُ لله عن عقـلٍ وعَن جســدِ الـحمد لله عن سـاقٍ وعن قـدمٍ ... الـحمد لله عن كَتِفي وعنك يـدي الـحمد لله عن قلبي وعن رِئتي ... الـحمد لله عن كِلتي وعن كبـدي الـحمد لله عن أُمـي وعن أبتي ... والحمد لله عن أخوات ذا العبدِ ... إلهي لك الحمد الذي أنت أهله على نعم ماكنتُ قط
