Laser surgery is a viable method for excising small to moderate-sized laryngeal cancers, providing an alternative to radiotherapy or traditional surgery. Decision-making in the management of early laryngeal cancers should also consider the preserved function of the larynx, encompassing voice production, swallowing, breathing, and coughing. It is essential to acknowledge that any treatment modality for laryngeal cancer may impact these functions to varying extents.
