Product Description On the 18th September 2014 young people across Scotland were asked to make a choice about the future of the country. This passionate and personal decision was influenced by and debated heavily on social media sites. This work explores the Scottish National Party's social media strategies and their influence in encouraging young people to vote yes to independence. This research explores whether social media is an open forum to enable deliberative democracy or a tool for communications professionals, politicians and businesses alike to control dialogue for their benefit.
