This book covers all aspects of out of operating room anesthesia and deep sedation practice. The practical aspects of anesthesia are emphasized, with particular stress on management of un-anticipated adverse events. About the Author Basavana G. Goudra MD, FRCA, FCARCSI    Dr Goudra is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine. He obtained his primary medical education from Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore, India. After training as a junior resident at the prestigious Jawaharlal Institute of Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry, he moved to Ireland for Specialist training. Subsequently, he worked as a fellow in pediatric anesthesia at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital; Cincinnati, Ohio before moving to the UK to work as a consultant anesthetist at Russells Hall Hospital, NHS, England. His main area of focus is out of operating room anesthesia with an emphasis on anesthesia for endoscopic procedures and total intravenous anesthesia.
