About the Author Muhammad Al-Bashir Muhammad Al-Amine is Group Head of Shari'ah Compliance of Bank Alkhair, Bahrain. Prior to that, he was Head of Product Development and Shari’ah Compliance at the International Islamic Financial Market. Al-Bashir is the author of Global Sukuk and Islamic Securitization Markets (2012) and several other books on Islamic finance. He has also contributed a number of articles published in international refereed journals. Al-Bashir holds an LLB (Shari’ah) from the Islamic University of Madina, Saudi Arabia, and a Masters of Comparative Law (MCL) and PhD in Law with particular reference to Islamic Finance from the International Islamic University, Malaysia.
