Das bis zu 22.000 Quadratkilometer grosse Okavango-Delta im Norden von Botsuana - eines der sieben Naturwunder Afrikas - ist Heimat fur 500 Vogel- und 128 Saugetierarten sowie rund 150 Reptilien- und Amphibienarten. Das kanadische Ehepaar Karsten und Bettina Rumpf besuchte im Fruhjahr 2020 das Delta - so wie Jahr fur Jahr Touristen aus aller Herren Lander hierherkommen. Doch diese Reise wurde intensiv. Die Welt erlebte kollektiv und unvermittelt die Dramatik der um sich greifenden Corona-Pandemie und ein erster globaler Lockdown hielt scheinbar den Lauf der Erde an. Das Paar musste den Aufenthalt verlangern. Anstatt der geplanten sieben Tage wurden es ganze zwei Monate. Sie sassen fest im Paradies, gestrandet wie zwei Robinson Crusoes der Neuzeit ...
