Wahrend sich die Zusatze zur altesten literarischen Grundschicht noch relativ sicher abheben lassen, ist eine chronologische Einordnung derselben dagegen schon deutlich schwieriger: einerseits sollen sie Lucken oder Unklarheiten im Maleachi-Text prazisieren oder ausdeuten, andererseits diesen auf gewandelte historische Rahmenbedingungen hin anpassen. Eine abschliessende Synthese fragt nach dem theologischen Ertrag, wobei auch sachkritische, auslegungsgeschichtliche und aktuelle Fragen behandelt werden.
