Yon-Gyong Kwon bietet einen Überblick über unterschiedliche Forschungsansätze zu Paulus' Eschatologie im Galaterbrief und kommt zu dem Ergebnis, daß es bisher keine befriedigende zusammenhängende Untersuchung des Arguments des Apostels gibt. Er untersucht die Aussagen des Paulus über die Krise in Galatien und zeigt, daß der Galaterbrief eher Paulus' seelsorgerisches Engagement für die abtrünnigen Galater darstellt als eine Auseinandersetzung mit seinen Gegnern. Paulus versucht diese Krise nicht zu bewältigen, indem er den Galatern die Segnungen des Glaubens vor Augen stellt, die schon in Christus realisiert sind (das "schon"). Stattdessen erinnert er die Galater daran, daß ihre gegenwärtigen Abweichungen vom Glauben Konsequenzen für ihre Zukunft haben (das "noch nicht").
