So sollte die morphologische Unterscheidung reaktiver und neoplastischer lymphatischer Zellen, die Erkennung einer Promyelozyteneukämie anhand der Granulierung und der typischen Kernkonfiguration der Blasten, die zweifelsfreie Identifizierung von Fragmentozyten beim HELLP-Syndrom und andere Auffälligkeiten der Zelldifferenzierung allen in zentralen Laboratorien arbeitenden MTLA und Laborärzten vertraut sein.Damit auch der morphologisch wenig Geübte die heterogene „bunte" Lymphozyten-Morphologie bei Kleinkindern nicht im Sinne einer hämatologischen Erkrankung missinterpretiert, andererseits aber auch suspekte Kinderblutbilder erkennt, vermittelt und vertieft dieses auf erfolgreichen Mikroskopierkursen für MTLAs, Klinischen Chemikern und jungen Laborärzten basierende Buch die notwendigen morphologischen Kenntnisse. Berücksichtigt sind dabei auch morphologische Besonderheiten des roten Blutbildes, die sich vielfach den apparativen hämatologischen Methoden entziehen.Das Buch befähigt, Weichen für eine weiterführende hämatologische Diagnostik zu stellen oder eine hämatologische Verdachtsdiagnose auszuschließen.
