Von dieser Einschränkung ist besonders das hervorragende Werk von Gareth Nelson und Norman Plat nick, Systematics and Biogeography (Columbia University Press, New York, 1981) betroffen, das den Kladismus in den Zusammenhang mit der Biogeographie stellt, sowie die von M. Cartmill publizierte Kritik am Schwestergruppenvergleich und der damit verbundenen Anwendung der Regel der ein fachsten Lösung (
