Ce travail propose de s'interroger sur l'articulation de l'espace à la langue et à l'écriture dans les oeuvres de Thomas Bernhard et Paul Nizon. L'objectif d'une telle étude est triple : permettre d'une part d'accroître la visibilité scientifique de Paul Nizon, réévaluer d'autre part le paradigme descriptif afin d'en relativiser l'influence souveraine, et contribuer, en troisième lieu, à la mise au jour d'une esthétique déceptive fondée sur les notions de décalage et de non-congruence '(Fehlentsprechen)'. Cette étude vise à démontrer les vertus d'un rapprochement littéraire qui contribue à l'élaboration d'une poétique voire d'une esthétique comparée de Thomas Bernhard et de Paul Nizon. A travers une analyse détaillée et microtextuelle des deux oeuvres, l'auteure entend montrer que le travail de ces deux écrivains doit être considéré comme une auscultation vigilante de la langue allemande et comme une entreprise de réfection verbale passant notamment par un dépoussiérage lexical d'envergure. Progressivement, l'interrogation littéraire sur l'espace se mue en un questionnement des plus contemporains sur la subversion générique et l'espace littéraire.
