His researches are about data mining, routing in wireless sensor networks and smart and sustainable cities. He is currently a supervisor of several thesis and investigator in several international research projects about smart cities. He is author of more than thirty papers published in international journals and conferences. He is the co-editor of Springer innovations in smart cities applications book. He is a chair and a committee member of several international conferences. Sehl Mellouli is a professor at the department of Management Information Systems at Université Laval, Quebec City, Canada since June 2005. Professor Mellouli research interests are related to smart cities, smart government, artificial intelligence, business intelligence, and natural language processing techniques. He has publications in highly ranked journals and conferences. Professor Mellouli was involved in the last years in research projects with a total amount of more than 10 million dollars. Professor Mellouli is serving as an advisor for different governments and institutions. He is currently the president of the Digital Government Society. Professor Mellouli has a Phd in Computer Science from Université Laval, a MBA in Management Information Systems from Université Laval and an engineer degree in computer science from the Ecole Nationale des Sciences Informatiques, Tunisia.
