About the Author Andreas Fischer is Emeritus Professor of English Philology at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He has published on dialects of English, on the history of the English vocabulary, on stylistic aspects of literary texts and on James Joyce. He is one of the trustees of the Zurich James Joyce Foundation.
