This book is designed to enable (pediatric) dentists to recognize the signs and symptoms of sleep disorders in their pediatric patients, it will help to understand the potential negative impact of a sleep disorder on the metabolic and cognitive neurodevelopment of a child and how to collaborate with others to implement appropriate management, including early (dentofacial) orthopedic intervention when necessary. About the Author Edmund Liem, D.D.S. Vancouver, BC Canada. Private practice at Vancouver TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre. Past president of the Canadian Chapter of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. Dr. Liem graduated in 1973 from the K.U. Nijmegen in the Netherlands. In 1994 he continues his practice in Canada in the Vancouver, BC area. He developed a great interest in the diagnosis and treatment of TMJ and OSA in the general dental practice.
