About the Author Catherine Holtmann is Associate Professor in the Sociology Department at the University of New Brunswick. She is the Director of the Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre for Family Violence Research, a member of the RAVE Project research team and a Research Associate with the Religion and Diversity Project. Her areas of research include religion, gender, domestic violence, and immigrant women.
