He is also a full-time Business Process Improvement-Manager working in the logistics, contracting, services and manufacturing sectors in the UAE. He worked for various local, multi-national and Fortune 500 companies across North America and the Middle East. He earned his PhD from the University of New Brunswick in Canada. He has published more than fifteen papers in various international journals and has over seventeen years of industrial-engineering experience. He is also certified as a Six-Sigma Master Black Belt and Lean Leader trained by the Juran Institute, Lead Advisors, Alignment Strategies in Canada, and Johnson Controls Intl. in the USA and as a Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment Management Systems Lead-Auditor by Bureau Veritas. Dr. Souraj won the American Society for Quality’s United Arab Emirates Quality-professional Award in 2015.   Prof. Abdur Rahim joined the Faculty of Business Administration at the University of New Brunswick in 1983. He received the UNB Merit Award in 1992 and 2000 for his performance in research, service and teaching.
