It consists of eight chapters treating, Cartesian tensors, the kinematics, and dynamics of a continuous medium, thermodynamics, constitutive equations of classical Newtonian fluids and elastic solids, introduction to the linear theory of elasticity as well as Newtonian fluid mechanics.
