About the Author Yunus A. Cengel est professeur émérite de génie mécanique à Réno, Université du Nevada. Il a été diplômé d'un Bachelor de génie mécanique à l'Université technique d'Istanbul puis d'un master et d'un doctorat en génie mécanique de l'Université d'Etat de Caroline du Nord. Il a été directeur du centre d'essai industriel (IAC) à l'Université du Nevada (Reno) de 1996 à 2000. Il a dirigé des équipes d'étudiants en ingénierie dans de nombreuses usines de fabrication du nord du Nevada et de Californie lors d'essais industriels. Le Dr. Cengel a reçu plusieurs prix pédagogiques ainsi que le prix d'Auteur de la Meriam/Wiley ASEE pour les excellents ouvrages qu'il a publiés en 1992 et 2000. Le Dr. Cengel est membre des Ingénieurs Professionnels de l'état du Nevada et de l'American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) ainsi que de l'American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). ohn M. Cimbala est Professeur de Génie Mécanique à l'Université d'Etat de Pennsylvanie (University Park). Il a été diplôme d'un bachelor en génie aérospacial de Penn State et d'un master en aéronautique de l'Institut de Technologie de Californie. Il a eu son diplôme de docteur en aéronautique de l'Université CalTech en 1984. Le Professeur Cimbala a reçu plusieurs récompenses pour ses qualités pédagogiques. Il est membre de l'American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA, de l'American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) et de l'American Physical Society (APS).
