Ce livre se veut accessible, non seulement aux élèves, aux étudiants et aux enseignants, mais aussi à tous ceux qui désirent connaître sérieusement ce qu'est l'écologie. Il sera une "Bible" pour tous les écologistes, et une référence incontournable pour les enseignants et étudiants pour son contenu solide, richement illustré de surcroît. L'ouvrage Ecologie : approche scientifique et pratique est magnifiquement illustré par 618 photos ou figures, ce qui le rend agréable à consulter malgré sa rigueur scientifique. Il répond à une demande de plus en plus recherchée pour l'éducation à l'environnement mais aussi pour une gestion durable et équilibrée de la nature et d'une agriculture par trop productiviste qui semble perdre la raison.
