Cet ouvrage arrive en continuation de "Météo locale, croisière et régate" (épuisé et en vente en occasion à plus de 300 euros) dont il reprend en les approfondissant et les modernisant une partie des sujets, en particulier ce qui concerne l'étude des plans d'eau. Un second tome approfondira les études stratégiques et enrichira l'étude de nouveaux plans d'eau. Jean-Yves Bernot vous présente : - les phénomènes de météorologie locale : effets de site, effets thermiques, météo à l'échelle fine, formation nuageuses, structure fine du vent... - les courants : fonctionnement et utilisation, influence de la bathymétrie, route fond et route surface, effet de courants sur les laylines, sur le vent du plan d'eau... - les méthodes : différence entre stratégie et tactiques, choix du parcours, outils - les stratégies : polaires, vitesses cibles, allongements, bascules...
