L'abri Murat, Rocamadour, Lot, France Les fouilles M. Lorblanchet : une séquence clef du Paléolithique final L'abri Murat (Rocamadour, Creysse) est un site majeur pour la connaissance des interactions entre les communautés humaines et non-humaines au cours du Paléolithique final. Après les premiers travaux réalisés par A. Lemozi au début du XXe siècle, les fouilles menées par M. Lorblanchet au début des années 1980 ont permis de mettre au jour une archéostratigraphie exceptionnelle livrant une séquence dilatée de la transition Magdalénien - Azilien, qui fait l'objet de cet ouvrage collectif. La réévaluation des mobiliers issus de ces dernières fouilles réunit une vingtaine de spécialistes pluridisciplinaires permettant une approche croisée des industries lithiques et osseuses, des restes fauniques et de la parure, mais également des comportements graphiques relevés notamment sur une série de galets gravés. Les trois temps qui scandent la séquence d'occupations tardiglaciaires du site permettent de documenter le rythme de transformation des faunes et des comportements humains (techniques ou graphiques) entre 15 500 et 13 500 ans cal BP. En particulier, la mise en évidence d'un ensemble attribué à l'Azilien ancien apporte un jalon essentiel à la compréhension du processus de transformation des communautés de la fin du Tardiglaciaire. L'approche technologique, combinant les études pétroarchéologique, productionnelle et fonctionnelle des silicites, permet d'appréhender dans le temps et l'espace l'évolution des manières de faire. Les comportements graphiques évoluent tant dans les thématiques gravées ou la parure, soulignant de nouvelles manières de représenter les autres animaux et soi-même. En croisant ces données avec l'étude archéozoologique des différents taxons et l'industrie osseuse, un nouveau modèle d'évolution est proposé, soulignant une évolution des manières de penser les non-humains entre ce qui est appelé Magdalénien et Azilien.
