English summary: The Orphic Hymns is a collection of prayers from third-century Pergamum. These eighty-eight texts shed light on the complex religious beliefs and daily concerns of a small religious community in Asia Minor, while also expanding our understanding of hymnic poetry. Critical edition of the original Greek, facing French translation, and copious notes and commentaries. French description: Le recueil des Hymnes orphiques, livre de prieres du IIIe siecle de notre ere, nous donne a travers ses quatre-vingt-huit textes un acces direct, et unique, a la fois a des conceptions religieuses complexes et originales et aux preoccupations quotidiennes d'un petit groupe de fideles se reclamant de l'orphisme dans la region de Pergame en Asie Mineure. Bien que transmis integralement, et non en miettes comme l'essentiel du corpus dit orphique, il n'a guere retenu l'attention ni des philosophes ni des historiens de la religion ni des specialistes de poesie. Trop peu orphiques pour les uns, trop peu poetiques pour les autres, ces incantations ont pourtant revele peu a peu, depuis environ vingt-cinq ans, les secrets de leur architecture mais les deux grands savants francophones, Jean Rudhardt puis Francis Vian, qui avaient (separement) concu le projet de les editer, n'ont pu le mener a bien. De ce recueil meconnu la Collection des Universites de France offre donc la premiere edition scientifique francaise qui a beneficie des ultimes reflexions de F. Vian - il avait confie a Marie-Christine Fayant des notes et brouillons rassembles en vue de l'edition - et des relectures conjointes de Pierre Chuvin, disciple de longue date de F. Vian. Ce volume vient enrichir notre connaissance de la poesie hymnique des Anciens: les Hymnes orphiques nous ont ete transmis dans les memes manuscrits que les Hymnes homeriques, les Hymnes de Callimaque et ceux de Proclus, mais ils manifestent une grande originalite par rapport a ceux-ci, nous faisant gouter, derriere leur formalisme de surface, la saveur d'une piete au ras de la vie, de la naissance a la mort. Prieres ferventes ou moments d'exaltation dionysiaque, dans ces litanies passe le souffle des grands courants de pensee de l'epoque. Leur publication veut permettre une plus juste appreciation de leur valeur et fournir a tous ceux qu'interesse la religiosite de l'Antiquite tardive les cles, linguistiques et conceptuelles, necessaires pour entrer dans ce monde ou s'est forgee une partie du notre.
