Le procès contre les ADF est un véritable mémoire des révélations troublantes et tragiques décelées par les prévenus. L'éclosion du phénomène ADF passe par un recrutement qui met à profit plusieurs réseaux recourant au business, à la sexualité, au fétichisme, à la ruse, tantôt camouflés dans l'enseignement coranique, tantôt planifiés au sein de leurs systèmes des renseignements. Dans leur mode opératoire, les ADF ont su mater leurs adversaires en tissant avec eux des relations facilitées par la délinquance militaire d'un côté et le gangstérisme milicien, de l'autre. Ceci engendre un imbroglio criminel difficilement identifiable par le juge, ce qui préjudicie la population innocente en lieu et place du vrai bourreau. En conséquence, cette justice se tourne sciemment au solde du régime au pouvoir de l'époque avec comme consigne de rendre un jugement pouvant blanchir les vrais auteurs et complices des massacres pour faire porter la croix aux autochtones, pourtant victimes du complot échafaudé. Le procès montre la fragilité des services des renseignements congolais face à la stratégie montée par les terroristes ADF pour infiltrer le système sécuritaire principalement les FARDC, la MONUSCO et les organisations humanitaires.
