Or les droits de l’homme numérique promeuvent la liberté et la souveraineté individuelles, afin que nous ne devenions pas des « auto-hommes ». Ces droits défendent notre humanité commune face aux menaces de la posthumanité et de la transhumanité. L’humanisme juridique n’appartient plus seulement à l’histoire du droit ; il est également son avenir. Il aura remporté la bataille lorsque les êtres humains auront retrouvé le goût, comme dirait Montaigne, de vivre et penser « à sauts et à gambades » plutôt qu’« à clic et à scrolling ».
