The Nieuport Airplanes Encyclpoedia (Part 1, 1910–1914) tells the story of one of the leading French pre-war aeronautical companies, founded by a brilliant engineer, Edouard Nieuport, who barely had time to see his creations crisscross the skies of Europe. Favoring aerodynamics which gave them speed, the various versions of the Nieuport monoplanes, which served in various air forces until 1917, foreshadowed the Nieuport biplanes which would impose themselves in the skies of Europe at war. The story is told with 330 photos and 38 color profiles in its 204 pages.
