In the wake of William E. Kovacic Liber Amicorum - An Antitrust Tribute - Volume I, this Volume II provides, in the European tradition of Liber Amicorum, 27 contributions from 37 prominent authors spanning various antitrust topics across the world. In this Volume II, the authors pay tribute to Bill Kovacic's antitrust career tackling issues such as the international convergence and cooperation, agencies performance and effectiveness, cartels criminalization, vertical restraints, leniency policies, etc. Volume II sheds a light over the antitrust law world offering a unique combination of theoretical insights, practical knowledge, together with some more personal remarks on Bill Kovacic's antitrust career. About the Author Nicolas Charbit, Ph.D., LL.M., D.J.C.E, is Concurrences Chief Editor. Nicolas was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1994. He had been practicing competition law from 1994 to 2005 with strong emphasis on cartels and network industries. He has completed a Ph.D. thesis at University Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne on antitrust law and the public sector. Nicolas wrote for European and international legal journals and taught at universities and business schools. He has published various books and articles on European and French competition laws. Nicolas founded Concurrences in 2004. Anna M. Pavlik is legal counsel at United First Partners. Prior to this, Anna worked as an associate with the U.S. antitrust group of Allen & Overy LLP, where she handled a variety of antitrust matters related to the U.S. and international M&A transactions, including representing clients in several major "second request" merger investigations by the DOJ and the FTC, advising clients on the antitrust filings, and managing local ex-U.S. antitrust counsel. She also advised the U.S. and foreign clients on corporate transactions and the SEC-registered capital markets transactions. Prior to becoming an attorney, Anna worked as a paralegal at Pfizer, actively contributing to the development, implementation and enforcement of Pfizer’s FCPA and healthcare law compliance programs, as well as achieved privacy compliance certification for consumer-facing websites and developed the in-house privacy training program. Native of Ukraine, Anna was awarded the U.S. Information Agency international CIS exchange scholarship to pursue her studies in the U.S. She holds a J.D. degree (cum laude) from Fordham University School of Law, and an LL.M. degree in European Union Law from Paris II Université Panthéon-ASSAS. Jessica Rebarber is an associate in Dentons’ Capital Markets practice. She represents Wall Street institutions, mortgage lenders and servicers, hedge funds, and other financial services institutions in regulatory matters across the United States. Prior to joining the firm, Jessica was employed in the financial institutions regulatory practice of a mid-sized firm, representing various financial institutions with an emphasis on mortgage banking regulation and enforcement. Jessica has broad experience in establishing compliance management systems and in assisting clients navigate the regulatory enforcement landscape at both the federal and state level, including the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Jessica also clerked for Judge Lawrence F. Rodowsky on the Court of Appeals of Maryland and Judge Charles Moylan, Jr. on the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland.
